Orange Cake featuring Mulling Syrup and Ginger Sugar

2.5 cups flour
1 cup sugar
¼ cup Wood Stove Kitchen Ginger Sugar
⅓ cup Wood Stove Kitchen Mulling Syrup
⅓ cup orange juice and zest of 2 oranges
4 eggs
1 cup canola oil
1 tsp baking soda
¼ tsp salt
1 tsp cinnamon
¼ tsp nutmeg
¼ tsp allspice
butter and flour for greasing baking dish
8oz cream cheese
8oz butter
2 cups powdered sugar
¼ cup Wood Stove Kitchen Mulling Syrup
Wood Stove Kitchen Ginger Sugar
Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit
Sift together flour, baking soda, salt and set aside
Beat together eggs and both sugars until pale yellow and creamy. Slowly add in canola oil while beating. Add orange zest and juice, Mulling Syrup, cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice, and beat until combined.
Add flour in 3 batches until combined.
Add to a greased 9x13 baking dish and bake for 40 minutes, until fork comes out clean. Allow to cool before adding frosting.
Make sure butter and cream cheese are room temperature and soft.
Beat them together until creamy and smooth, no lumps.
Add in powdered sugar and mulling syrup until combined.
Top the cooled cake with frosting and Wood Stove Kitchen Ginger Sugar.
